Best Shoe Inserts for Heels & Flats

I'm re-posting this blog about high heels comfort & recommendations about what high heels are best. The blog first appeared in 2017.  It has become an all time favourite that seems to strike a chord with many women who have issues with high heels - and that is not surprising to me since 70% of all women who wear heels have high heel pain and are looking for help !   I can see its' general appeal.

Women who don't fit the 'ideal' model size -  and who comprise 67% of all women in the USA -  look great wearing outfits that are complemented by wearing high heel shoes.

Have you ever kicked off your heels because you couldn't stand being in heels another minute?  Did you know that about 70% of women who wear heels have pain from them? Pain in heels can come from six main places on the foot. Toes crush, ball of foot pressure, heels gap, toes overhang, heels wobble & feet fall off shoes. Would you want to eliminate all six sources of pain from your high heels? Have it all - a   fabulous outfit and pain free heels!  This is possible!
Six pain points in high heels are: Instability/wobbliness ('Call It Spring' sandals) ; Toes overhang (sandals); Ball of Foot Pressure('Steve Madden' mules) ; Heel Gaps & Heel Blisters ('Aldo' pumps) ; Heel Falling off Shoe (mules); Toes Crushed by Foot Sliding Forward (pumps) . All six of the pain points can be eliminated if the foot is held stable inside the shoe by shoe inserts that fit out of sight under the foot. To eliminate ball of foot pain the cushioning must be positioned directly under the centre of the ball of foot and must remain in place. It must also be soft, spring back with each step and not flatten with wear. The only cushioning that has all these characteristics is sculpted PORON foam shaped to the bottom of the foot. In contrast gel ball of foot inserts are slippery, move out of place and feel hard underfoot. Stabilizing the foot in high heels is very important to prevent forward slide leading to toe pain. Stabilizing the foot also prevents heel gaps, falling off the shoe, and helps in weight-shifting to keep as much weight as possible over the heel, thus decreasing the pressure on the ball of the foot.
1 Buy mules in the right size.    2  Look for mules that are designed properly for the function of walking.   3. The shoe design and style of the mules should support their function.  4.   Know your foot type for best fitting mules.  5. Mules that have high heels should be outfitted with two part foam PORON inserts specifically made for high heels to keep mules stabilized, keep the heel of the foot from slipping sideways off the heel of the shoe, and shift the wearers' weight off the ball of the foot. Low heeled mules or slides should have shaped PORON ball of foot cushions.
